Notes From the Meadow

Psalm 23:1-2 says “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.”

When we dwell within the peace of His spirit, when we allow His voice to be the loudest voice that we listen to, when we rest in His presence amidst the chaos around us, we find ourselves rejoicing in the beauty of the greenest pastures and the stillest waters. This isn’t a physical place, although getting out in nature around greenery and blue waters is refreshing to the soul as well! But these verses refer to a place in the spirit. I can keep myself positioned in a Psalm 23 mindset if I’ll hold fast to Him, to His word and to His presence.

Come with me, as we learn together how to stay in this place, how to grab hold of the joy of the Lord and continually come to His rivers of refreshment.
